Introducing -- Kearns on the Double... By Eamon C. McCarthy Earls
The year 1920 is a troubling one. Prohibition and Ponzi schemes, women heading to the ballot boxes, and Reds and rabble rousers from St. Petersburg to the newest immigrant neighborhoods of Quinebaug (population 18,500), a seemingly quiet manufacturing town in central Massachusetts. As one of the town postmen, Bill Kearns, an Irishman, with a family and a French-Canadian wife, thinks he knows his town and just about everyone in it. But when anarchists seem poised to threaten the town he loves, he discovers more about Quinebaug, and himself, than he bargained for.
