Speaker Available for Anniversary of Devastating Blizzard of `78

With the each year's anniversary of that epic New England storm, The Blizzard of `78, Via Appia Press reminds libraries and historical societies in the region that author Alan R. Earls is available to provide a talk and slideshow on the topic. Earls is the author of White Apocalypse – which was published in 2018. He is also the author of Greater Boston’s Blizzard of 1978, (Arcadia Publishing, 2008).
White Apocalypse is the first full color book about the great New England storm, with more than 100 images.
In addition to being a Blizzard “survivor” with his own memorable stories, he has interviewed many others and collected stories from published sources about this record-breaking storm and the disruption and death it brought to the region in Feb. 1978. Earls is an experienced presenter who has been featured by the Woburn Historical Society, Watertown Historical Commission, Franklin Historical Museum, Northboro Historical Society, Charles River Museum of Industry, Bedford Historical Society, Natick Historical Society, and other organizations.
His presentation on the Blizzard encourages audience participation – the sharing of stories – to further engage the audience.
